Lobster Christmas 2010

It has become an annual tradition that Leah, Janel, Jessica and I get together and have a FANTASTIC lobster supper followed by a movie (and this year, we introduced a Christmas craft).

It was so much fun last night and I am indeed blessed to have these girls as my friends!

Two lobsters contemplating their final moments of life.

Three years in, and Janel still has some "issues" with it :)

Leah is very serious when it comes to her lobster.

I look forward to this evening each Christmas!
Don't you just love my shirt :)

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas!

It took all the way until December 12, but we finally have got our Christmas tree up and decorated!  And it's beautiful!  I love my "Martha Stewart Inspired" Christmas Tree!

And for those of you that wonder, Ezra leaves all my Christmas decorations alone (including my large gingerbread house!)

The gingerbread house that you can barely see on the left, is from a cute little town in Florida.  It was a sudden purchase, and after I bought, I wondered...how will I get this home!  (I still had to go to New York).  But two airplanes trips later and many, many fragile stickers on the box...I opened it at home 3 years ago and it was in perfect shape!

Check Another Thing Off the Bucket List

I have always dreamed of having a lack front cabin.  One where I could take our family to during the summer and watch the grow up playing in the water and on the beach.  Where we could have late night campfires, eating marshmellows, and gazing at stars.   Where our children would learn to love the outdoors and "get away from it all"

And my dream came true!!!! :) :)

We are now the proud co-owners (along with Peter & Tammy, and Trina and Emile) of a BEAUTIFUL lake front cabin at Murphy Lake.  And another highlight of our cabin...it's only about 15 minutes away from Southridge Camp :)

Steve took Ezra and I and my folks to see it for the first time just the other day.  I am excited for the summer!

What We Were Up To Last Week!

Last week was our Church's 16th Annual Christmas Production and Dinner Theatre.  I have managed the dinner theatre for the past 7 years and I always enjoy myself!!!  This year, Angela Olsen and her creative team decorated the gym and made it look like a New York Hotel.  It looked AMAZING!!!  Here are some pictures of the gym.

And for just about all 7 years, I have had my trusty side-kick...Dave McCaw!  I couldn't do it without him!!!  He comes and mingles and pours punch, and just an all around great PR guy!  I love him!

And Steve's responsibility.....scraping dishes all four nights and helping wash dishes!  It's a good thing my hubby loves me!!!!

15 and 1/2 Months and Ezra FINALLY.....

WALKS!!!

It was almost as if Ezra woke up last week and decided that crawling wasn't that much fun anymore.  He just started walking everywhere around the house.

New Favorite Place to Play

Ezra has discovered how much fun the entertainment unit is to play in! :)  It took him a bit to figure out how to close the door by himself..but now that he has that mastered - he's a pro!

Gone....Hunting!

I had some major back issues last week and wasn't able to lift Ezra at all (or stand or hardly walk, or....the list goes on and on and on).  Five massages and one chiropractor visit later and I'm finally getting on the mend.

However, because I couldn't lift Ezra and Steve was still hunting the "big buck"... Ezra got to experience his first hunting expedition with his daddy.  Steve got Ezra dressed in his camo, packed some snacks of cheerios, grapes, cheese, and apple juice.  Steve was so excited about his father/son hunting trip.

Ezra did really well!  Only after 3 hours of driving around did he start to fuss in his car seat.

I'm so glad that Ezra and Steve will be able to experience so many expeditions together!

Family Pictures

Wayyyyyyy back on August 28, 2010 we had our family photo's done by Jennifer Jacula Photography . As usual, she did an amazing job!  Why has it taken so long to post???!!!  Because we had such an amazingly hard time decided which pictures are our favorites!  Here is just a sweet sample of her work!

This is one of my favorite pictures!
