I Don't Like You Mommy!

With all of the rain that we have had this spring, and the lack of good gravel, deck, and front cement pad, we have had a VERY REGULAR visitor in our front entrance...introducing MR & MRS MUD.  

I was trying to explain to Ezra that I didn't want him to go onto the lino because it was very muddy on it and he got soooo upset with me.  It doesn't happen very often, but when it does I make sure to record it :)  

He would crawl one step and I would say no and he would look at me and cry.  It was funny actually :)

A Few Here and There's

This past month has FLOWN by!  We had such a fun month as we were able to spend it as a family!  Steve was done at Truck Zone on July 8th (his birthday) and doesn't return back to work with Cordean Contracting until August 9.  Ezra and I have enjoyed having Steve around!

This is one of my favorite picture's that I have taken of Ezra so far.  He was being such a little goof in the tub and luckily continued being a goof while I went running for the camera!  I'm certain that I should have a camera in every room!

On Steve's birthday!  Ezra laughed from deep, deep, deep within his stomach!

Ezra loves his books!  He can sit for such a long time just looking at his books!

Applesauce

Ezra is proving to us each day that he wants to be independent.  I can't believe how quickly he is growing up and the other night as I watched him try to eat all of his applesauce on his own, I was reminded that He IS growing up, and that I need to learn to let him Grow Up!  

I was so glad that I had the camera near by to capture this moment.  I had been feeding the applesauce to Ezra via spoon and he kept pushing the spoon away.  In frustration, I gave him the spoon, and the bowl and walked away.  Frustration turned to AWE turned to LOVE!  Ezra may be determined to become independent on his own, but I also am able to watch him become wise and smart in the process!

The quote "Where There Is A Will, There Is A Way" took on a whole new meaning during these photo's.  

A Day at the Beach

  

On Canada Day we headed up to Southridge Camp to spend the afternoon with the teens.  We were so blessed to have beautiful weather to pull the campers around on the tube and Ezra enjoyed his day in the sun and sand!  

It wasn't the first time for Ezra to touch sand, but the first time didn't go that well, so I wasn't sure how this time would go either...he loved it!  

It was Ezra's first time in the boat and although the life jacket looks uncomfortable on him - he really enjoyed his time out on the water.

While we were blowing the tubes up, I had given Ezra his bottle to drink.  When I glanced back at his stroller, he was drinking away with his foot propped up - What a life!

Pig's Night Out

A "sorta" family tradition when I was growing up was occasionally mom would have theme meals. One of our favorites was "Pig's Night Out" - spaghetti and meat sauce without utensils.

Ezra is at a perfect age for Pig's Night Out right now :) I put on one of Ezra's already ruined shirts from popsicles and let him go at her. He had a great time and loved his spaghetti!
