SKIING

Mom and I took the kids up to Kinosoo Ridge for a few days at the beginning of March.   On the Thursday we had great weather and Friday was cold but we powered through and had a great time!

We had supper at a cute small Mexican restaurant that was highly recommended from friends in Cold Lake.  It was so good and unique!

My cute snow bunnies!

It didn't take long on Friday when we were on our way home for the back seats to become very quickly.

February Wrap Up

Basketball Season began for Ryder.  His love for this sport is so fun to watch!

Ryder and I went and watched the Lloyd Barons High School boys team play during one of their tournaments.....so much fun to watch!

The best part about unpacking boxes that have been boxed up for two years is finding special gifts that you've missed!

My back recovery went really well.  But for some strange painful reason my left arm began acting out mid January.  A wonderful team of physio, chiro, massage kept working away at it and I was all good by the time I went back to work at the beginning of March.  We suspect that my body worked extra hard during the last year waiting for surgery, that when it finally was fixed, it was screaming at us to fix it next.  I'm so thankful for our medical system!

PAINTING :)

We don't skate.  We are skiing family.  But when the school declares skating as a field trip, I call up super Auntie and plead to teach my kids how to skate.

And man - do the kids love to skate!

Look at those chicken legs - haha

Ceanna had her baby at the end of December - and my word is he a CUTIE!  Ezra asked to have Ceanna and Kaiden come for show n tell and so we met them at the School for a bit prior so that Mckenzie and I could get our own cuddles in.

Oh look - more painting :)  Pretty sure Steve was glad that I went back to work so that all the painting  slows down on the bank account :).

We dug out the flower girl dress that I wore for my Auntie's wedding when I was five.  Mckenzie loves it!

Picture Day at Studio Encore!

We celebrated mom's birthday in the best way ever.  Any excuse for me to crack out my fondue pot makes me happy happy happy.

Valentine's Day Celebrations

Yes painting on Valentine's Day :)

Thank you Jesus for some nice weather.  I was anxiously awaiting for the chance for the kids to meet all the neighbour kids.  Once that happened we hardly see the kids anymore :)

Seldom do we see this happen anymore.  And I enjoyed it all!

Ezra and Steve were away for an evening, so Ryder declared that he was taking his two special ladies out for supper - he needs to work on his paying skills though :)

Breakfast of Champions from my husband :)

I had 11 kids in the house all at once.....which resulted in me hiding in the pantry/laundry room for some QUIET!

Ceanna and Kaiden came to visit again!  We just love this little family.

Our final day together just the two of us before I headed back to work.

And yes, we concluded with more painting :)

January Wrap Up

January and February flew by for our family.  I like to think it's due to back surgery, moving, recovery, and lots of fun that contributed to that.  The lack of blog posting....see previous sentence.

Quick wrap up of January!

We taught Jan Uno - for those of you that know Jan...this was a pretty big deal - she doesn't do games - lol - but she does do UNO now :)  She even went and bought it the next day!

We rang in 2018 like this and stayed that way for 3 full days as well.  Book

Recovery meant laying on the couch watching the Canadians win GOLD at the Junior Hockey Tournament.

Special supper delivered by special friends after a full day of packing the house up and our kitchen was bare!  Even had to eat off of styrofoam plates and plastic utentsils.

Those pests came out 7 days post op.  It always amazes me how those tiny staples hold my back together....but how much annoyance they provide as well!

She is growing up way to quickly!

Our favourite event - heading to Home Hardware before playschool starts and just having some quiet time.  She is always found in the toy area sorting and organizing the beanie toys.

Breakfast of Champions from my best friend.

First meal in our first house provided by our realtor.  I feel like we should have been feeding him - he put up with stubborn Steve and emotional Correna for two years.  The guy deserves a medal!

My dad came and spent the first full week at the new house with me....each day he faithfully showed up and moved boxes, put up shelving, whatever I asked he did.  Anyone who knows my family knows that I have the best relationship with my mom (she's one of my best friends)....but as I look back on that week with my dad, I am so very thankful for that time of just the two of us.  I grew great admiration and patience for him that week.  He really is truly one of the greatest of greats out there.  Now excuse me while I go sob in the corner haha.

Morgan was waiting patiently for the boys to get home from school.  They had no idea what was waiting for them!

Abi joined us for a few days while I was off on my leave.  Such good little friends these two are!

Thankful for friends with muscles to bring my beast into our new house.

Nothing like a Marble Slab reward for surviving the first week of moving and unpacking.

Seriously, I am jealous of her wardrobe!

More adventures of Mckenzie and Abi.

Just a girl and her dog - so thankful for the nice weather that we could finally walk to school to pick up the boys!

It had been a year, but I was ready to make magic happen in the kitchen!

I spy with my little eye.....

Bad, bad kitty.

Shortly after the porcelain dolls were relocated.

Mckenzie and I went to the Gun Show with the boys....it didn't take long to hear "I'm bored mom".  To which I replied - Mckenzie see this sign....this is why we came.

haha

We spent a LOT of time at Art Soul Life painting on my time off!

Morgan and I took 5 kids and 2 life jackets to the North Battleford Pool and very happy to report that no one drowned or checked into the mental institution ;)

Pirate Day at Playschool

Time for a hair change.  So thankful for the change!

Gosh, she's beautiful!
