Week 41

Hello All!

Yes - this is week 41.  For some reason our bundle of joy needs to cook a bit longer.
But the good news is that we will be meeting our baby this week!

We promised to keep you posted!  We will post pictures of our baby as soon as we can.

Even Buddy is ready for the baby to arrive :)  This is Buddy's favourite spot to sleep/sit/watch me during the day now.  It's like he's just saying "I'll keep this warm until the baby comes".

Week 38

I have been slacking on the picture department.....sorry - but have been very busy!!!

We are slowly settled into our new house...but with a new home site without grass plus rain equals mud.  I HATE MUD!!!

I had to head out to the shop with dad to get some tools and all I could find was my sandels and Steve's work boots.  Hence the getup :)

Ladies and gents.....week 38 :)

When Steve got home from his bike trip and saw these pictures he was like...."man, I've got a sexy wife :)".  It is soooooo good to have him home!

Nursery Complete

The past month has been very hectic for us!  I directed Camp from July 12 - 17 (and Steve was gone fishing on the west coast at the same time).  We both got home late on the 17th and moved on the 18th.  Steve was home for 4 days and then gone for 10 days on a bike trip to Las Vegas.  We didn't have anything for the baby except a crib and mattress.

BUT

I have the best sister-in-law and last Saturday off to Edmonton we go.  We were very productive that day and also very destructive on the bank account but we are ready for a baby!  Sunday, Nikki came over and she set up the nursery for me.  I love our nursery!  It's perfect!

All the bedding is homemade by a lady in Edmonton.....the pictures don't do it the kind of justice that it deserves......but it's beautiful!

The white sign above the crib reads "Babies make days shorter, night longer, homes louder and love stronger".  I love it!!!

Camp!!!! (and Week 35)

I directed Intermediate Camp again this year at Southridge Bible Camp and it was a blast!!!  I was sooo blessed to have an amazing staff that made my job simple.  If I could have the guarantee every year that it would be this simple, I would be 8.5 months pregnant each time :)

Janel was up there too.....I love being able to share our pregnancies together (she is due Sept 16ish).  Here we are about to start registrations.

Not only was Janel up for the week with me....but my bestfriend Sarah Jane and her husband Matthew came from Abbotsford as well.  Sarah Jane was the nurse (which coincidently she is a NICU nurse - so if anything would have happened, I was covered wonderfully) and Matthew was the speaker!  It was soooo great to have her there for the week.  I will miss them both next year!

I had theme suppers each night (Mexican, Italian, Hawaian, and Oriental).  Our cooks were fantastic and dressed up for each meal.  Here is the Italian mofia :)

Even Janel and I got all decked out for the Oriental meal :)

Matthew did a fantastic job - which I expected!  He used a variety of teaching tools and here they are about to "cross the Jordan River".

The final night is "Sunshine surprise" and all the campers and counsellors were treated to a movie out on the playing field and then they spent the night sleeping under the stars - the kids loved it!

Recreation - final game....kids loved it!

Such a fantastic week!  I can't wait until next year - yup I do plan on directing again next year....I want our child to grow up to have the same passion for Camp as Steve and I do!
