I love December. It seriously is my favourite month. I love all the times we get together with family and friends. I love hosting in my home. I love giving gifts (and receiving) - my main love language is gifts. I just LOVE DECEMBER.

Later in the afternoon of Christmas Eve, we packed up all the presents, overnight bags, tons of food, and this fabulous looking turkey and headed to my parents for the next 24 hours.
I cooked the turkey since I told mom that I cook a better turkey and gravy than she does...lol...it was a freaking fantastic tasting turkey (and gravy!).
We had our big turkey supper for supper on the 24th.
Later on some special messages from Santa came through via phone calls and email video's for each of the kids. If you haven't ever heard of
Portable North Pole you've totally got to check it out! The kids thought it was the coolest thing, and let's be honest, so did the adults!
Ryder was all excited to have his video from Santa, until Santa asked him if he has been brushing his teeth...lol...and then he got all serious. He HATES brushing his teeth. It has been much easier to get him to brush his teeth since Santa talked to him about it.
Coco (our elf on the shelf) and Nikki's elf brought the kids some final presents to be opened on Christmas Eve. Filled with pyjamas and lots of snacks and movies.

This was also the same location that they all slept. I'm sure all adults would agree that we weren't sure how this sleepover would go...but when we finally said it was time for bed (11:00pm), they went to sleep so well...and stayed sleeping till 8:00am.
Before I continue with pictures, I thought that I would add a side note: I can't remember what time my mom or Nikki went to bed (it was past midnight) . Steve and I headed to bed at 3:30am. My dad and Morgan headed to bed at 5:00am. I love playing games and love LOVE that my family also loves to play games!

Sigh. Cutbacks was a failed word again!
Although, to the defence of many, this was presents for a total of 11 people.
Present Time
Ryder has been asking for a fish for 6 months. When he was doing his Santa wish list up, I told him to put that fish on it. To which he said, no that's okay...you can get me it for my birthday. The fish went on the wish list (I had Steve convinced....wasn't sure the convince would stay till June). Ryder was sure pretty happy with Santa :)
Time to play with the Christmas presents.
And while the kids played, the adults enjoyed a fondue lunch.
Don't worry, we fed the children....macaroni and hotdogs - a true Christmas lunch ;).
The afternoon was filled with playing games, playing with new presents, naps for the young and old, and food.
Finished the evening off with Grandma Farm having a time of decorating sugar cookies with her grandchildren.
It truly was a great Christmas! So blessed to be surrounded by family!
