It is very important to us that our children understand what the true meaning of Easter is...yes there is bunnies, chocolates, gifts, decorating...but the real reason, the fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins so that we could have eternal life...that's what Easter is truly about.
So how do we do it?
Well.....Easter morning is spent focusing on the Risen Lord.

And when we return from Church...the Easter bunny has arrived. Last year I went like mad throughout the house setting things up as Steve waited in the vehicle with the kids while "mom finished getting ready for Church". Thankfully this year we have Jule to help. We left for Church and Jule set a ridiculously awesome hunt up (and then she headed off to her Church).

So what does the grand prize include? Because the hunt includes enough chocolate eggs to last us till next Easter, I don't put chocolate into their baskets.
Mckenzie received: a few books, bubbles, pyjamas, princess dolls and chalk.
Ryder received: a dinosaur figure (surprising enough it was what thrilled him the most!), lego, bubbles, chalk, and books.
Ezra received: lego, bubbles, chalk, books, and weights (he has been working out with me each day and has been asking for his own weights for a long time).
