Week 23

I started a new job this week (back to the real work force!)...I am a teacher assistant at the Kitscoty Elementary School in the Grade 5 classroom.  I love my mornings (I am only there in the mornings)!!!  The kids are all very excited that we are expecting and have said that I have to be back in the fall to show them the baby :)

On a very exciting note: I felt the baby kick last night.  A few times....it was CRAZY GREAT!!!!  I wasn't sure what was going on at first...but then I put my hand on my belly and could really feel it.  This is the first time.  I raced downstairs with the hope that Steve would be able to feel it as well...but nope, no luck :)

Growing at a Rapid Pace!

Our last ultrasound went very well on Tuesday!  Everything is perfect with our baby (at least according to the ultrasound!).

Living and Love

The windows and doors have basically all been put in to the basement.  "Construction" is coming along at a wonderful pace and we still expect to move in June :)

Since December, I have been babysitting Daelyn Brouwer full time (pink vest) and this past week, we also had Genesis and Zane (our neice and nephew).  It was very busy around the house for me.  To add to it - mom is out in Abbotsford, moving Morgan and Nikki's belongings back here, and Dad had to go to Edmonton as Grandpa was rushed to the hospital there.  Being the non-farm girl that I am, I offered to do chores while they were gone.  So here we are...loaded up on the quad to go and check to see if any cows are calving.....what an experience!

I have been blessed with great in-laws.  One of the reasons why I love them - is they know that I LOVE pink!  They brought me these beautiful pink flowers and they brighten my day!!!

Christ the Lord has Risen!

Easter Sunday we had mom and dad Parkinson, mom and dad Oliver, Chris Robinson and Calvin Franklin for supper.  We enjoyed much laughter around the table!

The centerpiece and dessert....

Even Diamond got in on Easter supper :)

Easter and Week 21

Things were slightly hectic last week and I missed taking a picture (which I'm not sure what I will do in my scrapbooking then :)  ).

But as promised to Sarah Jane last night, here is week 21.  I am pleased to announce that the all day sickness has seemed to pass - it only hits once, maybe twice per week.  But I still love, LOVE, LOVE to sleep!

I'm just about to head out to the Inter Church Easter Service....

And on an Easter note: I love what Easter represents.  It always seems to remind me of the incredible sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for me.  This year though, things were different for me.  They played a video at the Inter Church (11 Church's represented = over 900 people in attendance = FANTASTIC EVENT!!!) that stirred in me.  It showed a lot of Mary's feelings.  I realized today that at times I forget about everyone else that was effected that day and think only of me and Jesus.  But Mary, that had to have been hard.  I sat watching the video and rubbed my belly thinking that I will never, ever be able to comprehend what Mary went through.  That I hope that I will never have to see my child, our children go to Heaven before either Steve and I.  Mary will have never been able to imagine what her little boy was going to go through....I can only pray that Steve and I will be able to raise our children up to be mighty men and women that love Jesus and that they are able to declare Him as their Saviour.

Today is Friday.....But SUNDAY IS COMING!  Praise Jesus!

Moving Day - March 30, 2009

Our house was moved March 30 out to our little bit of heaven on earth.  We are soooo excited that we are one step closer to moving!  It took not quite an hour to get the house from Lloydminster to the home site and then only another 2 hours to get it onto the basement.  Slow and steady!

Voila - the end result!  We won't be moving in until they have the basement finished - which we are hoping is June.  Currently today (April 3) they are putting the windows and doors on the basement....moving right along!
