Hot weather also brought on a water fight with the kids and I against Steve. I'm sure you can guess who got the most wet - it wasn't someone who is 4 years or younger nor was it someone who is turning 38 in the next couple of days. Somehow, my plan backfired and I was soaked!
Apparently it was an exhausting day as Ryder fell asleep during his bedtime snack!
Sunday we headed over to the Willis' for some visiting, games, campfire, and snacks! They are the family that we go camping with and Hannah (their oldest daughter) commented that this was practice for camping :)!
Lloydminster put on a great Canada Day celebrations. Sadly, I don't have many pictures (except for the one below and of the fireworks). Steve was working, so I went with the kids on my own...so many people had me paying more attention to keeping track of my kids than having my face behind a camera. There was so much to do at Bud Miller Park - bounce houses, tattoos, photo booths, bike and car show, hot doggers, food vendors, baseball & volleyball tournaments, concerts, wagon rides, hot air balloon rides and so much more. It was a great day - so hot!!!!
We took the kids in to the fireworks that evening. It was the first time they have seen fireworks and also the first time that Steve and I have watched fireworks as a couple. We really enjoyed them - Mckenzie cried at the beginning but she soon got over that thought - a good time was had by all!
The next day...apparently we are exhausted! :)
