I posted about the cake pops that Veronika and I made last week...and here is the pictures of the whoopie pies that I made for the auction.

They were also easy to make!

Re-Decorating

One of Ezra's favorite past times is to put the dog food into the dog water.  Last night, however, it was to scatter the dog food onto the floor and then put the dog food bowl into the dog water.

Never a dull, clean moment in our home! :)

Cake Pops

Veronika and I had our first attempt at Cake Pops (check out www.bakerella.com).
Grace and Orest Pelech are doing a fundraiser tomorrow night to help with the journey on becoming missionaries in Africa, and since we have hunters still, we are donating 4 dessert for the auction.  One of them will be cake pops!

They are actually very simple to make....

The Ingredients.
Yummy!!!!
Veronika making the "pops".  I saw on Mels Sweet Treats that she used an icecream scoop
so that they would be the same size - I thought that was super smart so we followed suit!!!
Waiting for the freezer...check out my cookbook in the background....Bakerella's!!!
Melting the chocolate - actually the hardest part if you could believe.....
We had issues getting the right consistency.
You cannot skip the styrofoam block!
Woot, woot!!! They turned out!!
I had to try one!  "Oh, SO GOOD!!!"
Our final masterpieces!!!
Can't wait to try making a "critter or something" next time.

Diamond! PLEASE play with ME!!!!

Ezra is slightly spoiled when he goes to his Auntie Jessica's because her dog Rocko will play tug-o-war with him.  Diamond, on the other hand will not!

The other day, Ezra REALLY wanted to play with her and as you can see, she would have nothing to do with it! :)

GO! Uncle Ken! Go!

Ken and Matt's football team, The Vandals, made it to the championship game, so off Ezra and I went to cheer him on.  It wasn't Ezra first game (we took him to one where he was about 7 months old), however, at this game he was able to cheer (aka scream) the Vandals on to VICTORY!!! :)

Ezra was probably thinking: good call, good call!

To Watch a Father and Son's Love...

I always knew that Steve would be a FANTASTIC father...he just didn't know it until he became one.  I love to watch Ezra and Steve play together...they have so much fun and so much love between them both.

These pictures were taken just a few days prior to Quickload season starting up.  We were full into hunting mode and they were matching :)

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

We celebrated Ezra 1st Birthday in a GRAND way!

Our theme: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.
Location: Caravan Airlines Hangar at the Lloydminster Airport
In Attendance: 58 of Ezra's closest family and friends
Best Memory: Watching Ezra be amazed by the candle on his cupcake

Growing up my mom always tried to give us birthday parties.  It's not in her bones to make big deals out of things or to host lots of people, but it is MINE!  I have always vowed that my children would know how important their year of life was by celebrating it huge.  And huge we did for Ezra's #1 year of life.

We had a fantastic time and everything turned out exactly how I had hoped!  We were surrounded by so many people that care for, pray for, and love upon Ezra.  He is such a lucky little boy!

I hired a local photographer, Jessie Mann Photography and she captured the day perfectly!  Thanks Jessie!

Cookie Cutter Favours (of course in a plane or train).  I had to go all the way to Victoria to find these at Creating Occasions...they really do have the largest cookie cutter selection!

And for those of you that are wondering, I'm already processing Birthday #2 :) :) :)

Camo Twins = Best Friends!

Zeke-a-licious came to visit for a sleep over while his mommy and daddy partied it up in Edmonton at a football game.  Sunday morning we had two "twins" crawling up our stairs and heading into Church :)

Zeke and Ezra are such best buds.  We thoroughly enjoy our time that Zeke spends with us!

And We Descend on Abbotsford Again - September 2010

I have a husband...he likes to spoil me...I like it a lot...I like it a lot everytime!  It has become an annual tradition that when I come out to visit Matt and Sarah that not only do we head to the Keg for supper, Sarah and I also head for manicures and pedicures.  Since it wasn't that long ago that I was out visiting, and we headed to what will probably be the most expensive mani/pedi outing for Sarah and I (can't wait to go back!), Steve kindly asked that this trip be to the Asian's where it was cheaper.

So off we went and it was still fantastic!

Our beautiful toes!!!

And in return of the Keg supper and mani/pedi's...Matt and Sarah spoil Ezra and I with their love!
And we like it...we like it a lot...we like it everytime.

Goin' to the Chapel and They Are Gonna Get Married!

A fantastic and strong friend of mine got married on Sept 4, 2010.  Darcy has been through so much in the past few years, and I am soooo excited to see her HAPPY!  I'm also super glad that Sarah convinced me to make the whirlwind trip out (less than 48 hours), so that I could witness such love join two people together.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Mike and Darcy Blackstock.  They have the real love folks!

The wedding was simple and beautiful!  The sun shone on them the whole time!!!

The radiant couple!

Mrs Dillen (who was like a second mommy to me growing up) and Darcy.

I can't believe how much the three of us have grown all up since the first picture we have of us like this back in Junior High School.  Three beautiful ladies!

Darcy had fantastic shoes!  Sarah and I had fantastic toes thanks to Steve's bank account :)

Sarah and I could have been slightly biased...but we believe that these two were the best dressed and best looking males at the wedding :)
