Nothing says dramatic princess than those sunglasses...we were headed out to Eric and Wendy Collins' for supper and she was insistent that she be dressed like this :).
We had had a very busy March with lots of time spent getting the house ready for sale and other commitments...so we popped some popcorn and settled in for a family movie night.

I headed off to a scrapbooking retreat - weekends like this remind me just how thankful I am for my very large suburban.

We've always said that Ezra has the brains and Ryder has the braun. BUT this particular day I would defentily say that Ryder has the brains as well. Lol. I tried to explain to Mckenzie that she wouldn't like her choice of dessert but Ryder was very insistent that she would. Of course, momma is usually right, and I hear from the back seat:
M: "mom, I don't like my dessert".
And before I could even respond...
R: "I do!" And promptly puts his hand out. And there he is, pounding back two desserts.
When your mom takes you to your brother's hour long dance class...you work your charm, sweetly ask the receptionist to put a movie going and proceed to display your true relaxation pose.

That moment when you realize that your mom took the only set of keys to the only vehicle remaining at your house and you have no way of leaving with a showing of your house in 5 minutes....desperate measures mean quick (and very cold) thinking....we hung out in the sleeper of the semi...for an hour. No blankets, no jacket, no heat.
A super beautiful couple got married - what an honour to be at their wedding!
Headed off to a Rotary presentation featuring the K-9 unit of Lloydminster. Drax and his handler were called to over 400 calls last year in just Lloydminster. That just blows me away...so very thankful for their service!
This kid justified those shorts by stating that every Easter he has worn shorts...and he won't be cold because he's wearing his toque.
This momma forgot that Ezra was on Easter sweet treat supply...thankful for On the Border Bakeshop and their quick supply :)

Steve and I have been discussing our list of needs and wants for our house in town. One of mine has been that there is a walk in shower in the master bathroom....I'm so scared of falling when climbing into a shower (two back surgeries does that to a person!). Sent Steve this picture the morning after a late discussion on how I didn't want to budge on that need...the photo stated:
"so who just fell climbing into the shower this morning...this person. Case in point. Walk in shower is a winner!"
The few moments that they all get along...and are even touching each other and are getting along.

I was completely outnumbered by the minions, but at least I got an aisle seat :). Took this crew to the movies one afternoon and saw a great movie - Zootopia.
More Easter lessons.
I purchased these Easter cups and the kids loved them this year. Pretty sure that this will be a highlight for us for many years.
The Easter bunny arrives to our house after Church...he usually comes during afternoon naps (great incentive!). It's always been super important that our kids remember the real reason of Easter first, before the Easter bunny. I follow a shwack of mom blogs in the States and lots do Easter bunny on the Saturday instead for this same reason. I really like that idea - so we might just incorporate that in next year! Someone asked me what we get our kids....this year it was smelly markers, bubble bath, bath bombs, lego, play dough, Easter cups, craft ideas, and a hair kit. The only chocolate they get is the ones that they collect throughout the house.

Final day before I headed back to full-time work. My kids don't know what life is like having mom work and I knew that it would be an adjustment for all of us (more this momma than them!). Easter break I tried to squeeze as much into it as we could and on the final day we headed swimming. It was such a fun few hours!
