What Mama McCaw Wants...Mama McCaw Gets!

Dana called me middle of July and asked if I could arrange something "unique and fun" for Chris and Tessa to do the night before their wedding to have some time along to reflect on what their wedding day was truly about.  Chris and Tessa both have bubbly personalities and like to visit with everyone, therefore Dana knew that they probably won't have much down time with just each other.  Dana's idea was a hot air balloon ride.  Ummmm, yeah, sure, I'll get right on that - a hot air balloon ride is like me winning a lottery...I do not have that good of connections!

So I thought for a quick 24 hours and put my brain into "Bachelor TV Show mode"....and then came up with a fabulous idea - a helicopter ride.  Called my cousin, Dustin, who said he would do it and voila the mission helicopter ride became a reality.  Dustin arrived shortly after the rehearsal supper was done (Tessa and Chris had no idea - it was a surprise for them and to many others!)...landed about 15 feet from where we were all sat.  Whisked them away for a half hour tour over Lloydminster.  Landed at Sandy Beach and gave them 20 minutes to enjoy the picnic that was packed with desserts for them..and then returned them an hour after they left.  NOW, don't we all wish our momma's would have thought of something like this when we got married!!!!!

It was so fun to watch Tessa's reaction...they were thrilled as they hadn't had a chance to just be together the two of them all week, so this was a good escape for them.

All Angela and I could think was...."THOSE TENTS BETTER STAY PUT!"

And when Dustin dropped them back off, Steve, Ryder and Ezra got to ride back to the airport.  The boys thought that was pretty cool.  Such a blessing to have family with connections or to be the connection :)
