May Long Weekend normally brings Camp Work Weekend for our family. It's a weekend that the Church allots a time for families to come up to Camp and help get the Camp ready for the Camp season (that's alot of Camp in that sentence :) ). We were super excited to be heading up for the weekend, helping, visiting with many friends, always eating good food, and spending time together as a family. It is such a beautiful spot that Southridge has for their camp - we are super blessed as a Church to have it. The kids enjoyed their time....playing with friends, driving around in their gators, fishing, sleeping, eating, laughing. Great weekend by all.
Ryder overseeing the new septic electrical lines being trenched in.
| Bob & Norm called themselves the "Union Representatives" They are very good at the oversee/hands in pocket department ;) |
Some of the work projects included:
: Repairing vandalism damage - replacing doors and windows
: Tearing down two old cabins
: Building a fence to help discourage quaders and wild horses from the property
: Trenching new septic lines in
: Replacing old "yucky" mattress with new plastic covered mattress
We discovered a water issue in our camper so I had to resort to the dishwashing sink in the kitchen. She fit perfectly!
Ezra caught his first fish - he was pretty pumped and also very pumped that he didn't have to touch it :)
What a wonderful long weekend we had!
