We headed down to Disneyland last week for a few days with my parents. It was a very special treat from them and we will always be very thankful for this gift that they gave to us. The memories that we will always have are something that won't ever be replaced.
We made the decision to leave Mckenzie at home...one that was a hard decision but now that we are back home I am so thankful for that decision. We learned that 40" is the "magic" number for height of rides - Ryder did very well with his emotions on the rides that he wasn't tall enough to go on - but Mckenzie would not have (she's a girl, she comes by it honestly!). We will take Mckenzie in a few years when we know that she will be plenty over that 40" mark :).
The weather was awesome, the ride line wasn't too bad (20 minutes on average) and the boys attitudes were great! It truly was a great holiday!
We stayed the night before in the new Marriott Renaissance Hotel that is adjacent to the airport...it's very nice and super convenient to be right there when you fly out!
This picture is the "we interrupt this get into pyjamas for - plane mom!"
The morning we departed for California.
California Adventures
Ryder LOVED the rocking ferris wheel (shudder, I did not!).
Waiting for the California Adventures parade to start
California Adventures in the evening....so pretty!

ToonTown in Disneyland
One evening after supper, we headed up to the ESPN arcade area. Nothing makes us all competitive than racing against each other :)
Waiting to depart....colouring, school books, lego building, and random "let's watch a stranger play a game on his iPad" :)
Until next time Disneyland....
