A Day Full of Love!

Valentine's Day kicked off one day early as Ezra had a Valentine's Party at Playschool.  He was very excited this year to help package up his treats for his friends.  I can't take credit for any of the ideas, one word - PINTREST.  The teachers got the soap, preschool friends got the milk and cookies, and Church/family friends got the balloons.

We were invited to join the Preschool class for their last half hour to participate in Valentine's bingo.  It was nice to watch Ezra hang out with his friend, Ben.

We are working on this smile....how unnatural is that!

Valentine's Day: a day filled with my loves!

The kids and I headed into town to have heart shaped pizza's for lunch at Boston Pizza.

That evening, we invited both sets of grandparents over for supper: Cupid's Crazy Cafe was open for business.   Again I got the idea off of Pintrest :).

Everyone got a menu and they had to write a number down for what they wanted for appetizers, main course, and dessert.  The catch was that they didn't know what each number was.  So for example, my mom put #3 & #7 for appetizers...she got dessert and a salad (but had no utensils because that was #1 &  #2).  Imagine, Ezra's delight when his appetizer plate was put in front of him with dessert on it....but he had no fork or spoon because he hadn't put that number on it.

We all enjoyed ourselves and it was such a nice little treat to do something different.

This was Ezra's dessert choices: corn & bread

Afterwards, we headed downstairs and watched a Veggie Tales movie that was based on loving your family.  Yeah....you know you have entered a new phase when Valentine's Day includes:

a) supper with your children & inlaws
b) you watch a Valentine's movie on Valentine's Day

How romantic :)

Once the children were in bed and Bob & Jan headed home, we played some card games with my parents....just to have Steve have to leave for work at midnight.

It was a fun evening spent with family.  The romance will be on our Anniversary instead :)
